Q2 REFLECTION

Image
the second quarter of our ICT (Information and Communications Technology) class ends, I can clearly see how much I’ve improved in both knowledge and ability. This quarter was full of new lessons, challenges, and discoveries that helped me appreciate how important technology is in our everyday lives. One of the biggest things I learned was how to apply ICT concepts more effectively. From creating documents and designing simple web pages to exploring various digital tools, I became more confident in using technology creatively and responsibly. I also learned that accuracy, patience, and attention to detail are essential when working on ICT tasks and projects. This quarter also showed me the value of collaboration. Many of our activities required teamwork, and through these, I learned how to communicate better, share ideas, and work with others toward a common goal. Group projects made learning more enjoyable and taught me that we can achieve more when we support each other. There were...

Caoayan is a small town located close to Vigan, the Heritage City . It is known as the birthplace of Abel, the traditional handwoven fabric of Ilocanos. One of the well-known weaving shops here is Pagabelan ni Tinay, where the artisans continue to create Abel using wooden looms and vibrant-colored threads. During my visit to Pagabelan ni Tinay, I witnessed how the weavers carefully crafted their designs. Their hands moved with precision and creativity, forming patterns that required patience and skill. A single fabric can take several hours—or even days—to finish. They make blankets, scarves, bags, and many other handmade products that reflect the culture and hard work of the people of Caoayan. Although the weaving tradition started in Caoayan, it has become part of Vigan’s identity as well. Some weaving shops in Vigan continue producing Abel to showcase Ilocano craftsmanship to visitors and tourists. This shows the partnership between the two places in keeping this beautiful trad...

It is their patience and dedication that matches the sactifices of our past heroes. And this October, we made sure that they got the honor that they truly deserve.                 I am proud to be a part of that celebration. Seeing the smiles on their faces fuels my heart. During also the SSLG Organized teachers day event, we cheered our hearts out in support for our talented teachers who showed their artistic side. Our cheers were more that just noises, it is our way in showing our love and support to their passion.                 I am truly thankful for their hardwork and dedication in the field that they have choosen. Climate Change and the Resiliency of Filipinos

Image
Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing the Philippines today. It causes unpredictable weather patterns, stronger typhoons, and rising sea levels that threaten communities, livelihoods, and natural resources. The predominant reasons for these sudden or progressive changes in the environment include deforestation, excessive carbon emissions, pollution, and the destruction of ecosystems. Human activities, such as illegal logging, burning of fossil fuels, and improper waste disposal, accelerate global warming and make the environment more fragile. https://www.denr.gov.ph

Harnessing the Unknown

Harnessing the Unknown: Powering the Future through Science and Innovation Science has always been the foundation of progress and discovery. The 2025 National Science Month Celebration, with the theme “Harnessing the Unknown: Powering the Future through Science and Innovation,” reminds us that curiosity and creativity are key to shaping a better world. Through science, we uncover the mysteries of nature, develop new technologies, and find solutions to global challenges such as climate change, diseases, and resource scarcity. In the coming decades, the connection between science and society will continue to strengthen. Science influences every part of our daily lives—from communication and transportation to health care and education. As technology advances, society must learn to adapt and use these innovations responsibly. People and governments must work together to ensure that science serves humanity and promotes equality, sustainability, and peace.

first quarter reflection

In the first part of my class year, I got to know a lot about me & my class work. I picked up how to use my time well & keep my mind on work. I found out it's smooth to learn when I hear, join in, & ask if lost. But, it was hard at times due to some snags. A big test was handling jobs & tasks from many class topics at once. At times, I was lost with some class bits, & there were times I felt down due to the many tasks I had to do. To beat these tests, I set up a plan for study to sort out my time. I also got help & more info from my teachers & class pals. Plus, I made sure to rest well so I didn't get too tired & to keep my drive up in class. In the next school parts, I'll try my best to get even better. I'll keep using what I've learned to sort my time well & gear up for class work. I'll try my best to face new tests & meet my aims in the next times.
