Vigan City came alive on January 25, 2026, as locals and visitors celebrated the vibrant Vigan Fiesta, a joyful event that showcased the city’s rich culture, faith, and traditions. Known as the Heritage City, Vigan once again proved how history and celebration blend beautifully through colorful decorations, lively music, and cheerful streets filled with people.
During the fiesta, the streets of Vigan were filled with various activities such as parades, cultural presentations, and community gatherings. Residents proudly displayed their traditional clothes, while performers danced to folk music that reflected Ilocano heritage. The energy of the crowd showed the strong sense of unity and happiness shared by the community during this special occasion.
Food stalls were everywhere, offering famous Ilocano delicacies such as empanada, longganisa, bagnet, and local kakanin. Families and tourists enjoyed tasting these dishes while exploring the busy streets. The fiesta became a perfect opportunity to share Ilocano cuisine and hospitality with visitors from different places.
Religious activities were also an important part of the celebration. A thanksgiving mass and procession were held to honor the city’s patron, reminding everyone of the deep faith of the people of Vigan. These events reflected gratitude, hope, and devotion, which are central values of the community.
The Vigan Fiesta is more than just a celebration—it is a reflection of Ilocano identity and pride. It strengthens community bonds, promotes local culture, and keeps traditions alive for the younger generation. Celebrating the fiesta on January 25, 2026, was a memorable experience that showed the heart and spirit of Vigan City
first quarter reflection
In the first part of my class year, I got to know a lot about me & my class work. I picked up how to use my time well & keep my mind on work. I found out it's smooth to learn when I hear, join in, & ask if lost. But, it was hard at times due to some snags. A big test was handling jobs & tasks from many class topics at once. At times, I was lost with some class bits, & there were times I felt down due to the many tasks I had to do. To beat these tests, I set up a plan for study to sort out my time. I also got help & more info from my teachers & class pals. Plus, I made sure to rest well so I didn't get too tired & to keep my drive up in class. In the next school parts, I'll try my best to get even better. I'll keep using what I've learned to sort my time well & gear up for class work. I'll try my best to face new tests & meet my aims in the next times.
